The flick will be produced by Eros International in association with Soundarya Rajanikanth's Ocher Studios.

Rana will be directed by K S Ravikumar and has A R Rahman scoring the music. The grand set of the flick drawn from the reminiscene of the 17th century has been erected in  AVM Studios. Ace bollywood actress Deepika Padukone plays the female lead in the flick. The cast also includes other popular faces from Indian film industry.
