Popular actress Manisha Koirala said that she is eagerly looking forward to meet her only friend in Chennai, director Mani Ratnam. Mani Ratnam and Manisha has been good friends right from the sets of Bombay. The actress was later busy with her hindi projects and had hardly any time for kollywood projects. Manisha is back again in kollywood through the flick 'Mappillai'.

She will play the role of a rough and tough mother-in-law in the flick. Mappillai has Dhanush and Hansika Motwani in lead roles. “The mom-in-law character I played in ‘Mappillai’ is very powerful and already a popular one in Tamil Nadu. I believe I have done justice to the role. Acting with a young and fresh team was a nice experience.”, the actress said.
