The Chennai City Police arrested former kollywood actress Vanitha on Monday for staging a hunger strike in front of her former husband Akash’s house at Virugambakkam demanding the custody of her son Vijay Srihari.

The actress along with her daughter sat in front of the house on monday protesting the alleged custody of her son by Akash. “Akash has defied the court order and refused to send my son to me,” , the actress said. The former couple is supposed to go by the ruling of the Madras High Court on keeping custody of Vijay.
