Ace kollywood star Silambarasan was seen crooning a song for the flick Mambattiyan 2 which has Kollywood actor Prashanth in the lead. The flick is a remake of the 1983 version.

The music of the flick is scored by Thaman. The song "Kattuvaliye pora ponnu..." was sung both by Thyagarajan and Simbu. Simbu has sung the hip hop version for the young audience. Ace lyricist Vairamuthu has penned the lyrics of the song. Thaman has expressed great confidence that the songs will be a sure hit among the youngsters.
