Kollywood flick Aravaan will hit the screens on August 26 according to close sources. The flick is directed by Vasantha Balan and is set at the backdrop of the 17th century.The flick is adapted from the novel 'Kaval Koottam' written by Su Venkatesh. Sources reported that the audio of the flick will be launched at a glossy function in Chennai this month.

Another speciality of the flick is that singer Karthik will debut as a music director through it. The film is produced by Amma creations. The shooting of the flick is fast progressing in Chennai, Hogekkanal and adjoining areas. Sources report that the team will only have to finish a shooting session of another 15 days.
