Kollywood flick Vengai starring Dhanush and Tamannah in lead roles will hit the screens on July 7. The flick has come out of a legal tussle that had delayed its release. The release of the flick was stayed by the Madras High Court over the petitions filed by Eka Chakra Media and Vijaya Productions.

Eka Chakra had registered the title of the flick with SIFCC last year. However the term got over and Vijaya productions had purchased the name for a flick that was to be released in July. This led to the suit. However both production houses settled the dispute out of court which had speeded up the release of the flick on July 7.
