Kollywood actress Swathi of the Subramaniapuram fame will soon join the Sasi Kumar-Samuthrakani team for tamil flick Porali. The actress has been taking extreme care not to build up a typecast image in kollywood. Hence she had denied a good number of projects that had came her way after Subramaniyapuram.

The actress had been doing some telugu projects for which she also won critical acclaim. In Porali Swathi will don the role of a city based girl who faces the brunt of the Srilankan civil war. The actress has high hopes about Porali which speaks about the troubles faced by Srilankan tamils.
