The Chief Operating Officer of Sun Network, Hansraj Saxena was granted bail by Principal Sessions Judge P Devadass on Thursday. Saxena was arrested on July 3 at Chennai airport. However Saxena is expected to stay in Madurai and report to the Thalakulam police station on a daily basis besides executing a bond of Rs 10,000.

Saxena was arrested on the basis of a complaint lodged by Salem-based film distributor Shanmugavelu. The distributor alleged that Saxena has unwarrantably obtained more than Rs 80 laks as a part of deal agreed on distribution rights of 'Theeratha Vilyattu Pillai'.
