Veteran kollywood actor Ravichandran slipped into a coma stage in a private hospital in Chennai after he was admitted due to respiratory issues. Ravichandran was admitted on July 17 as he complained of congestion and pain in the lungs."The 71-year-old actor is now in a critical condition.

Doctors have been monitoring his health round the clock. His family members, including son and actor Hamsavardhan, are praying for Ravichandran's recovery," , said sources. Ravichandran started his film career in 1964 and earned good reputation as an actor. He was active in numerous supporting roles in good number of recently released flicks.
