Ace bollywood actor Shammi Kapoor passed away at 5.15 am on sunday. The 79 year old veteran actor was ailing from renal failure and was undergoing dialysis for past few years. He passed away at a private hospital in Mumbai. Shammi Kapoor debuted in bollywood through the flick 'Thokar' in 1953. In the 60's he did a host of flicks including Teesri Manzil, Bramachari, Tuma Nahi Dekha, Dil De Ke Dekho, Evening in Paris, Professor, Kashmir Ki Kali etc. The actro ahs also directed two flicks starring Rajesh Khanna and Manoranjan. The actor is survived by his wife Neela Devi, son Aditya Raj and daughter Kanchan Desai. He received numerous accolades including Filmfare best actor award, best supporting actor award for Vidhaata, etc. His funeral will be held at his residence at 11.00 am on monday.
