Kollywood actor Vijay was given a rousing welcome in Madurai at the audio release of his upcoming flick, Velayudham. The audio was released by two Vijay fans handpicked by the actor. Vijay followed gender equality and chose a young man from Madurai and lady from Thanjavur to release the audio cd of the flick.

The release was a grant affair in the town and was accompanied by performances from the flick. Director A Raja, kollywood actress Hansika Motwani and other lead team members were part of the programme. Vijay donated five cows and financial aid to needy students at the function. His political party cadres were also present at the function.
