The director of Dam 999 which has been hit with controversies is all set to appeal to Supreme Court to remove the ban on his flick. The Tamil Nadu government has issued a ban on his film 'Dam 999', from releasing in the state. The Tamil Nadu government has argued that the release of the flick might affect the friendly relationship the state shares with its neighbor Kerala.
But surprisingly, there is no ban on this film in Kerala. Some top officials in the state (Tamil Nadu) are also believed to have said that the dam shown in 'Dam 999' might bear a similarity with the Mullaiperiyar dam, the lease right of which are held by the Tamil Nadu state for 999 years. Since the Mullaperiyar issue has once again emerged as a sensitive issue between the two states, the appeal by the director has turned many heads.
