Rahman fans have been disappointed by the latest news that the authorities have denied permission for hosting a concert by AR Rahman in front of the Taj Mahal during the audio launch of Gautham Vasudev Menon's Hindi film 'Ek Deewana Tha'.

 

"The Archeological Survey of India, which is taking care of historic monuments in the country, has dismissed the idea of the Oscar-Grammy winner performing at Taj Mahal, fearing any damage to the symbol of love," sources say. Arrangements are progressing to conduct the audio launch event on December 21 at a popular star hotel in Agra, which has a good view of the Taj. "Rahman has agreed to perform from the new venue," sources add.
