Ace music director A R Rhaman ha forged a partnership with world famous Babelsberg Orchestra of Germany. Announcing this to journalists in Chennai Wednesday, Rahman said, , "I am excited and grateful to Babelsberg orchestra for their gesture.

 

There won't be any song, dance or 'Jai Ho' kind of stuff! It's purely orchestral rendition by Babelsberg from K M Conservatory." Dr Marla Stukenberg, Director, Goethe-Institute, Mumbai, and initiator of the project, pointed out that this tour marks the centenary year of both Studio Babelsberg - the oldest large-scale film studio in the world located in Potsdam-Babelsberg, Germany, and Indian cinema, born in 1912. Rahman will compose music for four Indian films this year. This will include  Tamil movies Kochadaiyaan (starring Superstar Rajinikanth), Yohaan Adhyayam Ondru, Bollywood movie EK Deewana Tha and one with filmmaker Bharat Bala.
