Injunction on 'Three' restrained  [Friday, February 27, 2009]

The Madras High Court on Thursday declined an order of injunction to restrain the producer and the team from releasing the Tamil Film 'Three', which was scheduled to be released on Friday.Justice  M Jeyapaul said that it is probable that the prints of the film would have reached the destination. The justice said that there would be irreperable damage caused to the producer and the team, if the film which is scheduled to be released on Friday is injuncted at the eleventh hour. The trailer of the film showed a police official treating a lawyer in a demeaning manner, besides showing a group of policemen assaulting indiscriminately a group of lawyers after foul mouthing them with threats and warnings solely intended to provoke the lawyer community. The judge has however restrained the producer and his team from showing any promotional clippings through television channels.
