Switzerland's veteran Tennis champion Roger Federer won the Australian Open Tennis championship in Melborne on sunday. Roger dismissed Andy Murray of Britain on sunday and improved his record to 16 Grand Slam Titles. Murray had hopes of turning the first British since Fred Perry to win the title. Fred claimed it in 1936. Federer who saved five points wasted two match points in the tie breaker and later clinched it when Andy netted a bach hand at the end of two hours and 41 minutes. Roger had also beat Andy at the 2008 US Open Final which was the only meeting between the pair prior to the Grand Slam.
