Unveiling of statue not a bargain to solve water disputes - Karunanidhi [Monday, August 10, 2009]
The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi said that the unveiling of the statues of the two savants was not any 'bargain' to solve the water disputes between the two states."The statues' unveiling is not being done as a bargain to solve the water disputes but aimed at good permanent mutual relations. It is being done only with the intention of ensuring friendly relations," Mr. Karunanidhi told reporters after unveiling the statue in Bangalore.
