Former DRDO scientist K Santhanam who questioned the reliability of the thermo nuclear device during the Pokhran II tests said that the National Security Adviser M K Narayanan was 'barking up the wrong tree'. He also added that he was not privy to the test measures and outcome of the Pokhran II test.He said that the remarks of the National Security Adviser was unnecessary and demanded a probe at the success of the nuclear test. The NSA had earlier said that the remarks of Mr Santhanam was 'horrific' and that the success of the test was earlier tested and verified by a peer group of research scientists.
