Celebrities Sachin Tendulkar and Aiswarya Rai were recognized to be the two online applicants for voters card. The other celebrities who have applied for the same include  Akshay Kumar, wife Twinkle Khanna, actor Sonam Kapoor and father Anil Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, Preity Zinta and Kim Sharma.The celebrities seem to be a model for the ordinary citizens who at times choose not to use their franchise. “Sachin had applied online for the voter ID. As his name was already in the list, the card was prepared immediately,” District Deputy Collector and Deputy Election Officer Sanjay Bhagwat told the press.
