Dr K Radhakrishnan becomes the ISRO chairman [Saturday, October 31, 2009]
Dr K Radakrishnan has assumed charge as the new ISRO Chairman as the successor of the retired G Madhavan Nair. K Radhakrishnan graduated in Electrical Engineering from Kerala University and took his management degree from IIM Bangalore. There after he did his Ph.d from IIT, Kharagpur. He has an experience of over 38 years in space technology and space programme management. He has been a member of the space commission since October 2008. Dr Radakrishnan was the VSSC Director when it launched the Polar Satellite Launching Vehicle (PSLV) that has put more than 15 space crafts into the orbit.
