International Day of Persons with Disabilities was marked by hundreds of youngsters participating in rallies and events organized in city. Many organizations organized programmes on the theme 'Making the Millennium Development Goals inclusive: empowerment of persons with disabilities and their communities around the world.’The participants of the rally said that they stood for developing more rights to the disabled in temples and other places of worship. The programmes were marked by distribution of aids to the diabled. Programmes at Muttukadu was organized by National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Multiple Disabilities.
