The State Government on monday issued an order sanctioning Rs 17.5 crore to the various developmental works done by the Kancheepuram town. The new relief also comes timely to match the valedictory of the centenary celebrations of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C N Annadurai. The fund is majorly allocated towards enhancing road width, setting up of parks and other Public Expenditures in the district.
