The bank employees of the city went over an unexpected strike on wednesday against the merger of State Bank of Indore with its parent bank SBI.The release of the Tamil Nadu Bank Employees Federation said that the employees under the All India Bank Officers Association and All India Bank Employees Association are on a strike. Surprisingly, the private sector banks also joined the strike creating inconvenience to the public. The city ATM's ran out of cash and there were long qeues in front of all other ATM's.
