Chief Minsietr M Karunanidhi said that he is striving to resolve the Cauvery river water sharing dispute between Tamil Nadu and Karnataka since long back. He was speaking on these lines during the inaugural of Mettur Dam near Salem. With regard to the Cauvery issue, the Chief Minister said that he was committed to preserve the livelihood of the farmers and ensure them adequate water supply for cropping. He also said that he has submitted the blue print of A Rs 5100 crore project to the centre for its approval.
