Anna Salai Assembly complex to be tranparent [Tuesday, December 22, 2009]
The Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, M Karunanidhi has instructed the Public Works Department of the State who is in charge of the assembly complex construction that is coming up in Anna Salai that the structure should be built in such a way that it should be visible from outside. Accordingly, the compound wall will be constructed to be at a height of two feet and the grilled gates will be seven feet tall. The current gates that are near the statue of the Dravida Kazhagam founder E V Ramasamy will be retained and only the renovation works to the same will be effected.
