The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi said that he has invited Indian President Pratibha Singh Patil, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Congress President Sonia Gandhi for the World Classical Tamil Conference that will be held in June. He also said that the congress president and the Prime minister may also take part in the inauguration of the newly constructed Assembly Complex. He was talking to the press after a meeting with the Chairpersons of the conference. He also added that based on the success of the conference he would appeal to the Union government to make Tamil one of the official languages of the Union government.
