Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will inaugurate the new assembly complex building in Tamil Nadu. In a response to the invitation sent by Chief Minister M Karunanidhi, the Prime Minister sent a reply stating that he will be happy to inaugurate the new assembly complex. “I will be happy to visit Chennai (to inaugurate the complex) on March 13, 2010”,wrote he.The existing structure is 58 years old and is housed in the 17th century St George Fort. The new complex is being constructed at the Government Estate Grounds near Mount Road at a cost of Rs 425 crores.
