Obama looking forward to more cooperation with Indians [Tuesday, January 26, 2010]
US President Barack Obama greeted the Indians on the 60 th Republic Day and said that both countries should work together for further progress. He also greeted and saluted the two million Indian Americans who contributed to the growth of the country. He praised the 'growing partnership' that both countries share and said that the countries believed in the concepts of liberty, pluralism and religious tolerance. "I send my warmest wishes on behalf of the American people to the people of India and to those here in America and around the world who are celebrating Republic Day.This Republic Day is particularly special because it marks India's Diamond Jubilee,", said he. He also added that he looked forward for further corporation from Indian government.
