Young Engineers should take up researches in India - V N Rajeshekaran. [Tuesday, January 20, 2009]
Speaking at a conference, the Indira Gandhi Open University Vice Chancellor, V N Rajeshekaran Pillai urged young engineers to take up researches in Indian institutions instead of migrating to other countries. Talking to a daily here, he said that only one-tenth of the engineers took up research projects in India, while the rest opted for foreign institutions. The demand and supply gap was enormous with only 200 out of the 2000 scholarships being taken.
