Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa donated Rs 1 crore towards renovation of Sri Devanathaswamy temple in Cuddalore district. A demand draft for the same amount was presented by Karnataka Commissioner for Religious and Charitable Edowments to Tamil Nadu Religious and Charitable Endowment Minister K R Periyakaruppan in Chennai. The temple authorities said that the donated sum will be used for repair and renovation works of Swami Hayagreevar Sannithi of the temple.
