Tamil Nadu was well considered by Mr Lalu Prasad in this year's railway budget. Though acclaimed to be a pre-election budget, the state benefitted well out of it. The new budget had five new trains in store for Tamil Nadu. Mr Lalu Prasad said that he and his team is also considering the feasibility of starting a bullet train service between Hyderabad-Vijayawada and Chennai and also beteen Bangalore and Chennai. Services of two existing trains were also extended.
