India's exports shows tremendous increase  [Thursday, June 25, 2009]
   
 

                        Velmurugan, Executive Vice Chairman of Tamil Nadu Industrial Guidance and Export Promotion Bureau said on wednesday that India's export to the Arab Countries have showed significant growth in the nine month period from April to December 2008.Citing a recent report, he said exports to 10 Arab nations accounted for Rs.110,247 crore against Rs.103,610 crore for fiscal 2007-08.Exports to the UAE increased from Rs.62,915 crore to Rs.65,377 crore, Saudi Arabia from Rs.14,923 crore to Rs.18,306 crore and Iran from Rs.1,091 crore to Rs.1,201 crore. India also did well in exporting to Egypt, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Algeria, Iraq and Bahrain.
