The Madurai Jasmine farmers are on the verge of getting a major boost in marketing of their 'Madurai Malli'. The Jasmines will be send to export markets to meet the demand of the perfume manufacturers. The new scheme is expected to be a great comfort for the farmers who earn less during off season. This will also prevent the prices from dropping. “If all the details are finalised in this meet, a Memorandum of Understanding could be signed between farmers and buyers. This will result in farmers getting an assured market at a remunerative price,” said Mr Bhaskararaj, Secretary of the Madurai Market Committee.
