The spectrum allocation issue which gave way to much controversies remained unsettled even after the government made arrangements for the auction. The auction date is heard to be delayed further than the earlier decided January 14 as there is still ambiguity over the available spectrum.  In connection with this, the Department of Telecom said that the government is still working on the process of finalising the details on the Notice Inviting Applications and so the auction would be further delayed. The problem arises because the government is yet to receive an additional 20 MHtz spectrum from the defence which it is expecting to get hold of by September 2010.
