The Minister for Information, Parithi Ellamvazhuthi said on Saturday that the State Government is planning to invest about Rs 240 crore during the current financial year on various development projects in the film industry including setting up of a national centre of excellence for animation, gaming and visual effects. The minister who was participating in a road show for the 3 day FICCI FRAMES - 2009 convention to be held in Mumbai from February 17 to 19 said that the convention would give a good opportunity for the Tamil film industry.
