Jayalalitha asks DMK to explain its stand in Lawyer-Police clash  [Friday, November 6, 2009]

All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam General Secretary Jayalalitha on wednesday criticised the DMK government for not implementing the directions of the Madras High Court to take action against four top police men who were convicted for the lawyers-police clash in February. “Almost a week has passed since the judgement was delivered. Yet the court’s instructions do not appear to have been carried out,” noted Ms Jayalalitha. She also added that the Chief Minister should state the stand that the government is planning to pursue regarding the issue.
