AIADMK Chief Jayalalitha wrote a letter to the Prime Minister requesting him to divest the portfolio of A Raja, telecommunications minister over the alleged spectrum allocation scandal. Ms Jayalalitha said that the raid conducted by the CBI has unearthed many files related to the scandal and it was not right for the ministry to let Raja occupy the ministerial post. “The interest of Justice will not be served if, at this stage, Mr. Raja continued to preside over the Telecom ministry. He is in a position to tamper with evidence and influence officials, who are in the know of things,”, said Ms Jayalalitha.
