Australian High Commissioner Peter N Varghese said that the world would witness a shift of weight from the West to the East and that the economies should deal with it in such a way that it does not turn to be destabilizing.  “We need to ensure that this historic shift is managed in a stabilising, rather than destabilising way,” said Mr Peter. Mr Peter was in Chennai as a part of the familiarisation trip and he met the political and business leaders and bureaucrats in the state.
