The World Classical Tamil congress scheduled to be held from June 23rd to June 27, 2010 is expected to be attended by over 2000 delegates from all over the world. Dr M Rajendran who is the coordinator of the academic community of the congress said that the invitations for the congress have been sent out to many scholars from all over the world like  George Hart of California, Thomas Malton of Germany, Asher of United Kingdom, Alexander Dibianku etc.About 45 scholars from Srilanka too are expected to attend the conference. The call for papers have been sent already and the scholars whose papers are short listed are given the air tickets and all related funding to come down to Coimbatore to present their papers. The major discussion topics will cover the area of grammar, numismatics,history,literature,linguistics etc.
