DMDK looking forward for alliances in the next election [Saturday, January 9, 2010]
Tamil Nadu DMDK leader Vijayakanth on saturday said that the party was looking forward to open alliances with other parties for the elections. The decison came also as a result of the poor performance of the party in the just concluded Tiruchendur and Vandavasi by polls. The party leader passed the resolution of the party without referring its intend to associate with any particular party. Vijayakant's party had managed to get around eight percent of the votes in the 2006 elections, which could only amount to split the votes that was due for AIADMK. The decison according to political commentators have come out in the right moment.
