The Tamil Nadu government on thursday said that it will conduct a recruitment drive to fill the jobs reserved for the disabled in the state government departments. Together with the above drive, the Chief Minister also announced that there would be a series of welfare measures that will be implemented for the benefit of the disabled. He was announcing the above at a function organized by Federation of Tamil Nadu Physically Handicapped Associations in Chennai. The chief minister also announced the centre's decison to extend the pension given to physically and visually disbled to deaf and dumb citizens as well.
