The DMK cadres on wednesday observed the 41st death anniversary of party founder C N Annadurai in the state. The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and other senior leaders of the cabinet visited the memorial of the former Chief Minister at Marina and offered floral tributes. The AIADMK Presidium Chairman E Madhusudhanan paid tributes at the memorial on behalf of AIADMK General Secretary Jayalalitha. It was under the leadership of C N Annadurai that the Dravidian party first brought down the long continuing congress rule in 1967. Ever since then, the rule of the state is significantly lead by DMK or AIADMK, the two off shoots of the Dravidian party.
