Chief Minister calls for intervention of congress president in mullaperiyar issue  [Saturday, February 20, 2010]
   
 

                        Tamil Nadu Chief MInister M Karunanidhi requested the intervention of the centre and congress president Sonia Gandhi to resolve the inter state disputes between the two states. The Chief Minister has written a letter to the congress president in this regard. The Chief Minister said that the Union Government should take initiative to call the Chief MInisters and engineers of bothe states to peacefully settle the dispute. He was responding to a question raised at the press conference on the party's resolution on Mullaperiyar dispute. Mr Karunanidhi also expressed hopes that the party decision would be acceptable to all other parties as well.
