Chief Minister urges film bodies to maintain discipline [Friday, February 26, 2010]
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi said that film bodies should maintain discipline and keep up the unity of the film industry. He was responding to the controversy that came up in kollywood regarding the speech given by kollywood actor Ajith at the function to felicitate the Chief Minister. In his statement in this regard, the Chief Minister described Ajith as a 'thumbapoo'. He said that there was vested interest in blowing up the issue which was completly unrelated with Ajith's good intentions. “Though Ajith is a flawless person and his speech was not against me, some worked hard to utilise the situation and kick up ruckus. To put a full-stop to this, Ajith met me personally and explained about his intention.”said the Chief Minister.
