On the meeting of High Level Policy Implementation Committee, Chief Minister M Karunanidhi said that  DMK's senior minister , P R Balu will meet Foreign Minister Pranab Mukerjee to urge him to visit Srilanka. The foreign minister is expected to meet the island nation authorities to propose to them the necessity of an urgent cease fire to save civilians from suffering. The Chief Minister had met the Prime Minister regarding this at his visit to Delhi early this month.
