Two indian cricketers, Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir got nominations for the ICC Annual Awards that will be announced in Johannesberg on October 1st. The independent 25 members of the academy shortlisted Gambhir, Dhoni, Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson and Englishman Andrew Strauss for the  Sir Garfield Sobers trophy for Cricketer of the Year . Dhoni is also shortlisted for the ODI player of the year award along side other players like Yuvaraj, Shewag and Shivnarine Chanderpaul of West Indies. The Twenty20 International Performance of the year shortlist does not feature any Indians. Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi and pacer Umar Gul, who are joined by West Indies’ Chris Gayle and Sri Lanka’s Tillakaratne Dilshan make up that list.
