Anil Kumble who retired in 2008 says that playing the Twenty20 games were important. He said that the game of such a format was essential though it would take much longer to get over the defeats. “Playing these Twenty20 games now matters a hell of a lot but the only issue is that you take that much longer to get over defeats. For me the last game was the IPL final and we lost it and I am still coping with it but when you are an active cricketer, you don’t have time to celebrate victory or brood over defeats as within two days you play another match,” , said Kumble. The cricketer, though he has retired from the international arena regularly does his practises in Chinnaswamy stadium. He says that being fit all the time is crucial for the match.
