2007 world cup the biggest blunder in career - Sachin Tendulkar  [Wednesday, November 11, 2009]

Master Blaster of Indian team Sachin Tendulakar said that the 2007 world cup was the worst moment in his career and blamed the batting blunders of the team. The 2007 world cup saw the India team being chucked out from the super eight stage in West Indies as it accepted its defeats against Srilanka and Bangladesh. Tendulkar however did not comment on the discussions that the team had with coach Greg Chapell in the dressing room. He only stressed that the batting standards wsa far below from what was expected. “I felt our batting order was not right,It was a big tournament and we had a fantastic team.Everything looked well set but I felt our batting order was not right. This was one of the reasons (behind India’s early ouster),” said Sachin to Times Now Channel.
